Jo-Ann Pezarro and Frank Frese welcome you to their Family Gourmet Delicatessen in Lynn Valley Centre Mall. Jo-Ann and Frank are celebrating their one year anniversary of taking over this popular North Shore Deli that has been in operation for more than 25 years. Jo-Ann and Frank moved to Canada from South Africa in 1997 leaving behind family, friends and careers to raise their 2 daughters in a safe and natural environment. Jo-Ann was a well-known musical celebrity in South Africa - a widely celebrated singer, dancer and musical theatre artist. North Shore residents have discovered Jo-Ann has many talents including her culinary skills. Jo-Ann's chopped liver, savoury sauerkraut and creamed herring salads are fast becoming famous. Frank, moved to South Africa from Germany as a young man. In Durban he had a successful career in the financial service industry. However, Frank's interest in import/export and his appreciation for fine foods including meats, cheeses, European cookies and chocolates makes him the perfect partner in this family deli. Family Gourmet patrons are treated to a choice of over 200 types of cookies, wafers and specialty items. Family Gourmet stocks only the finest meats and sausages from selected suppliers including black forest ham and sausage. Special Continental bread's from Andy's and Garden City Bakeries are always on offer. Their new fresh pasta and sauces from Zara's on Granville Island are fast becoming a family favourite. In addition you will find a fine selection of freshly prepared salads including their famous potato salad made from all natural ingredients. Decadent Desserts are supplied on request.
